A hands-on bird keeper from Barasat, Kolkata — sharing what years of real aviary experience taught me, so your birds live healthier and happier.

Who is Biki?

My name is Bikash Dey, and I go by Biki. I have been keeping and breeding exotic birds in Barasat, West Bengal, for over 13 years. What started as a childhood fascination with a single budgerigar slowly grew into a full aviary — today I share my home with cockatiels, Lovebird, Small Conure, Sun Conure, Finches, and a deep belief that better-informed owners make for happier birds.

I started Biki’s Aviary blog because I kept seeing the same mistakes repeated — seed-only diets, wrong cage sizes, missed early signs of illness — and I knew most owners simply hadn’t found reliable, practical information written from real experience. So I decided to write it myself.

My aviary

Biki’s Aviary is a small home aviary based in Barasat, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. I breed and raise Conures, Cockatiels, Lovebirds and budgerigars. All birds are kept under humane conditions, fed varied species-appropriate diets, and receive regular health checks.
